We offer a range of short training sessions over the Internet. In order to allow for customer participation worldwide, two separate sessions are scheduled on the same day for each topic, typically at the following times: 08.00 and 15.00 UK time.

Depot Costs 

The purpose of the online training session on Depot costs is to develop a more in depth understanding of the summary and detail level operational and cost characteristics of depots as well as the appropriate use and application of the different levels.

Users should have a broadband line for Internet access and an additional phone line for voice communication.

Upon registration users will receive an email with the necessary joining instructions. They will also be provided with information regarding Meeting Centre (the Microsoft Office Web conferencing service which Barloworld Optimus uses to present each session) and confirmation of the phone number and pin number required to join the audio conference for each session. 
 

Microsoft Office Meeting Centre

Prior to the on-line training session, you will be required to download and install the Meeting Centre program onto your PC, this should take approximately 3-5 minutes and should be installed before each session is due to start. (Once you have installed Meeting Centre onto your PC, you will not be required to install this program again if you register to join a remote training session on another occasion.)

Who should attend?


Users who have attended the Introduction to CAST training course (this is a pre-requisite) and who wish to increase their CAST knowledge.

How much does each session cost?


Each session costs an amount of: GBP 100, USD 180, EUR 150, CAD 200 (excluding taxes).

However, Support Plus 2005 customers are entitled to 6 places free of charge within their Support Plus (SP) year and Support Plus Extra (SPE) customers are entitled to 10 free places within their Support Plus year. Customers renewing or joining the annual CAST Support Suite in 2006 are entitled to the following number of tutorials free of charge:-
1 licence x 6; 2 - 5 licences x 8; 6 - 10 licences x 10; 10 or more licences x 12

Barloworld Optimus advises at the time of each booking if a company has free places left.


How long does each session last?


Each tutorial typically lasts between 40 and 60 minutes with a question and answer session at the end.


Confidentiality and access to material

The same confidentiality provisions apply that can be found in the CAST licence. It is a condition of participation in CAST Remote Training that delegates ensure that non-delegates are not able to see or hear the course. The course material can be shared among staff members of the company that holds the CAST licence. The course material may not be shown to or given to anyone outside that company and remains Barloworld Optimus Ltd copyright at all times.
